Does anyone seal the cleanout at the bottom of the T for class A chimney? Mine just kind of twists on, and I wonder if there would be a benifit. If so, how?

Nope . . . just have three screws and a tight fit . . . chimney is drafting fine as it so I haven't messed with the cap.

The Tee plug on my chimney system is no more than a stainless cup with two tabs on either end that allows for it to be screwed into the bottom chimney section. Is that normal? I expected something more substantial.

I would imagine dripping creosote would burn right through.

Same here with four tabs. No issues so far.
