Shot in the dark on computer issue - Autoplay menu won't stay put

Whenever I put an SD card in my reader the autoplay menu pops up for less than a second and disappears. This is annoying since I then have to go in and retrieve photos manually. I know, poor me right? Anyhow, if anyone knows what settings to tweak etc...please let me know.

Plug in card reader, Double click my computer on the desk top, Right click on the drive that is reference for the card, properties> autoplay. Click on "Prompt me to choose an action"
