Was up in Rangeley, Maine last weekend up at my buddies camp. I think I'll let the inside/outside pictures speak for themselves! Did I ever say how much I LOVE woodstoves!

Woah!
Too hot inside & to cold outside to breathe, LOL
I'd feel sorry for you but I've been going through that for over a month. (well not 90° inside except by the stove)
Not camp for use here, every day.

Yep, wood stoves are great :)

I hear that. We went to a friend's for dinner last night (he isn't a wood burner) and I was FREEZING, I couldn't wait to get home and stand by the stove!!

I am thinking we need to convert him. He has one of those electric stove things. *shakes head* Maybe at least step up to a gas stove....

Yikes! that's some serious cold there... Don't breathe thru your nose :bug:

Wood stoves really do ROCK!

Wow that's cold.

90 is a little to hot for me.

Really? Really, a 90° spread? How is that possible? Are three Blaze Kings going full tilt in an 800 sf Tvek wrapped, R30 insulated house with no windows? I know my paltry 20° spreads (from 50-70) are bad because my stove is undersized and my house is leaky, but REALLY???

I probably hit 90 also near the stove. Other side of the room its barely 70.

If you check your math, I believe that is a lot more than a 90 degree spread! That is cold outdoors! In a drafty house, I can see getting to 90 and not getting too far from the stove either.

that is the complete other side of the cabin, up about 8 ft off the floor. Don't want to know what it is by the stove!! It really boggles my mind because the cabin is one big room. That room is probably 400sqft max. theres two small rooms, 12x12 off if it that hold bunk beds, but its all open. So its got to be in the 500-600sqft area, heavy timber built by hand by his father in the 60's. no electricity, and an outhouse. The free standing stove is almost in the middle of the room, off the the side, and is custom built by his uncle out of steel.Probably measures 28"x14". Oh there is a loft that is behind the race flag. Don't want to be up there, way hot, then way cold in the AM. First pic is whole cabin, second pic was taken standing in kitchen/dining room/family room. That thermometer is infront of the POSTED yellow sign. Stove is kinda to the right of the ladder

Nice looking cabin and I love the knotty pine. We put in quite a bit of that last summer with our remodel and addition.

I can believe it. We were in the single digits and it was 70ish in the Cottage. Leaky original windows (ok, the livingroom is an addition with bad 1970s windows, the rest are 1950s or earlier that were salvaged and put in), two sliding glass doors, no attic insulation and no tyvek (living room is horseboad then siding).

Man..that pine is pretty. The "old house" has a lot of pine, as does the Cottage (bath, kitchen and livingroom are all pine walls, bath as it on the ceiling also). Very homey feeling.
