Sparks from exhaust vent?

    I recently installed a Breckwell Big E pellet stove in my family room. The dealer recommended a horizontal exit. When pellets are dumped into the burn pot, some sparks exit the exhaust outside. Is this normal? Does anyone make a spark arrestor for 3" duravent?
