I may have miss judged this tree.
BL is like that; You'll see a section that looks shot but if you keep cutting you often get back into good wood.
That stuff can stand dead for years, and unlike oak it actually dries out.
Yep. The clincher is when you start cutting, and the wood is more brown than yellow. The brown stuff is ready to go, no question.
