Stove install - up to code?

Homeowner claims this meets code. There is a 1" space behind sheetmetal on walls and there is a gap at the bottom. The hearth has 1/2" of durock under the sheetmetal.

No idea of the make/model of the stove.

I know it's hard to say much without specific information, but at a minimum, the hearth does not appear to be large enough.

I also assume that side clearance should be measured from the point on the side of the stove which is closest to the wall and measured on a line perpendicular to the side of the stove.

Looks like it might be problematic in a couple or three ways. What's your interest in this stove installation?
 
Pipe looks too close to the wall with the opening, and maybe too close to the rear wall also. Hearth is definitely not out far enough. That wood or laminate is going to get burn marks if not worse.
