i finally purchased an IR thermometer and was experimenting with it, when my fire is well into its cycle and the secondaries are burning full force, the top of the stove is 600 degrees and the offset box is also close to 600 degrees. The pipe where it connects to the offset box is 550ish. Is this ok?

Our stove top runs about 600-650 normally for the first few hours. With some wood we'll see a peak around 725F. Above that and the blower is on to cool it down.
