It's about 60 here this evening and the stove is looking a little forlorn as I'm turning my attention to the BBQ. (You can tell you've been burning too long when you start digging up kindling and newspaper to start a fire... on a gas grill.)

Hopefully many of y'all are finding a break in the weather for some similar outside enjoyment, these hints of spring are always a welcome surprise.
 
We've had some summers that I think over 60* days could be counted on one hand!
 
Holy cow! 60 degrees! Sure wish that would come our way. But, maybe it is best that it doesn't. Last year was the poorest year ever for maple syrup and it is just starting to run now. Freezing nights and above freezing days is needed for a good run of sap. It was running decent yesterday even at 36 degrees.
