   I am going to be putting my 3inch vent pipe for my pellet heater through the 8inch poured wall fondation will I still need a thimble? THANKS

   Thimble would make is a cleaner looking installation
   but if it is solid concrete you dont need it but you do need something to fill around and a thimble would do the trick
