my stove (enviro venie 1700) has a black finish, looks like a spray paint or some such coating.
what would be the best approach to touching up spots that need paint?

also, i have noticed light rust on the inside of my stove by the door(mostly along a top lip before the door), is this normal?
the rust wipes off with a lot of black gunk.

Send a note to Enviro and ask them what brand stove paint they use. Probably Stove Bright.

The reddish stuff around the door isn't rust, it is residue from the fire.

Rattle-canned my stove this last Spring for its 10 year touch up with Stove Bright. Works great. Open windows during application, and again for the next fire.
