Found in urban Kansas City. Forgot to take a picture of the bark.

Is tat 1/4" grid paper?
Were the berries in clusters?

1/4 grid. Berries are about the size of a standard marble. Tree had profuse amounts of berries in clusters.

My guess is ornamental pear. I have two in my yard. I have burned pear, was great in the stove

I don't know what that is but my son-in-law has one and you don't want to park under it. Real messy!

Callery Pear. It's used as an ornamental. Due to the way the branches attach to the trunk they tend to rot and fall off. Don't put one in your yard.
