Ya, in another month they will be hauling snow in for the start of the Iditarod.

Yeh, they start on the streets of Anchorage, put on the big show for the sponsors & TV. Run a few miles out of town & load everything up & drive north (60 miles)
Then re-start the next day in Willow.

They "Officially" moved the re-start to Willow, 3 years ago, due to lack of snow in Wasilla for several years.
They have feet of snow there, 30 miles north of Wasilla.
I'm a volunteer for the re-start Willow, (but past few years my back didn't allow it)

Big dogsled race now is going North of "Northof60"
White Horse to Fairbanks. 1,000 miles
