Model 1302-any hints on replacing cracked firebrick. How bad is it to burn with damaged brick?

If it's just cracked (hairline up to 1/8") it will be ok. The firebrick serves to insulate and evenly distribute heat to the cast iron it really takes a missing or badly degraded brick to really cause you a problem. Most stove shops carry fire brick and can cut or order what you need.
