I recently bought a 1352 square foot quad-level home in northern Mahican. I have a 500 gallon LP tank but I am looking to supplement it with a pellet stove. the stove would have to go on the 2nd level ( the level above the basement, but is still sub-level) there is no place on the main floor. From the 2nd level to the main level there is a short hallway this 6 stairs so I would think the heat would rise up to the main level. I am not expecting alot of heat to make it to the top floor where the master bedroom is, but I just want to supplement the propane. I ran across a used four year old Canadian comfort/pelpro freestanding stove which claims to heat up to 2000 square feet.It has a 40lb. hopper and is in decent shape. I know this stove isnt top of the line but I believe it is a good deal. Anyone comments about this stove, or best location for a quad level or any other information about pellet stove would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
