Well...

...looks like my fireplace is off... We were ready for it. Apparently the chimney won't fit in the bump out I just built specifically for the fireplace. The stove shop told me of an extra 2" I need for clearances... AFTER THE FACT Even though I had them out and told them my plans, etc...

So now I have to see what I need to do to get my deposit back from them and it looks like they are going to fight me on it... Now I'm looking at a pellet stove. I live to find a mt. vernan insert, but they are hard to come by, and a place by me has the free standing version...

Is anything ever simple???
