vt. soft or truman, both about the same price, however they are not sold at the same place so I can only buy one brand and take on one delivery charge. The trumans are about 10 bucks a ton more. I think I,m leaning towards the vt's.
Hard to beat the consistency of the Turmans! VWP's are good, But we have heard some complaints on ash and dust/fines. Both are good, But the knod would go to Turmans IMHO!
no I have not burned either of them and I know I should first but I don't have the time to spend driving around ct picking up a bag or two. I'm winging it on a hope and a prayer, thanks for your IMHO, I will take that consideration, this last season was spent burning spring buy cubex's that made way to much ash, so I may not be into the vt's if they are ashy.
I'm a newbie in the pellet stove world, but my first pellets burned were Turmans and having tested several other brands along the way, nothing else compares.
Been burning for 4 years now; have burned many brands of pellets. I love the Turnam pellets the best. I realize this was a mild winter, but it was the first year I burned exclusively Turman and I cleaned it once a week. I had no problem. Some other brands I used to vacuum it out every 2-3 days because of all the ash.
