I’m looking for new wood insert suggestions.

I’m open to all brands, cat and non cat.

Ideally this will be the primary heat source for a 2 story 2200 square foot house with gas backup

Thanks

... Layout of the home (rooms, doors etc. because stoves are principally space heaters unless the heat can be moved around), ambiance wishes, preferred style, and whether you want to be able to heat solely with the insert on the coldest night of the decade, or are fine using back up heat for the 5% of the nights of a year where another insert cannot provide enough heat.

Finally, get wood split, stacked off the ground, and top covered now. Efficient inserts require dry wood (don't want to waste BTUs boiling of 25 percent of weight of the split in water... Most wood requires 2 years to dry. Pine, fir, can be done in one year. Oak often requires three years. And your firewood vendor does not sell dry enough wood even if is marked as seasoned or kiln dried.
