Hi all,

I've been thinking of putting an insert in the fireplace which we really don't use that much (at all actually) since our dog becomes scared of any cracking noise :/
Anyway, I was looking around and found a used Breckwell P22 insert.. and I was wondering if anyone had any type of experience with this brand.

Anyone has any feedback on this brand?

I have a older big e model. I find it rock solid and have had 0 issues since I got it used 2 years ago. Auger motor went on previous owner and I replaced burn pot when I got it.. I find it's basically set it and forget it other than cleaning...
I sorta chuckle when u watch the forums it's all the ones with all kinds of settings and electronics that people have troubles with

I have a big - e also. It has been a work horse since 2004 but since USSC bought them out i wouldn’t recommend brecwell.

Sometime back in 2011.

I should rephrase that,I don't have a problem with some breckwells, but I would stay away from an older p22 insert.I also would stay away from a SPC50.

Thanks for the info guys.. if I buy an used/old one then I should try one of those true and try brands.
