    Can the heat shield go over/above my baseboard?

    Getting ready to build my heat shield and am wondering if I have to cut my baseboard up to the hearth or if I can either situate the heat shield above the baseboard or over it? The baseboard is .5" thick and 3" high.

    Vermont Castings Resolute 1979 bottom heat shield

    I'm looking for a bottom heat shield for a Vermont Castings Resolute 1979. I believe the part number is 140-2229. This part is no longer made by Vermont Castings from what I understand so I'm poking around looking for a re-seller who may be ready to part with one.
