Your looking at dimension M and N?

I think so I’m really sick and am have a difficult time reading these. So M if for USA and its 8” beyond both sides of the door? m is for Canada

I’m still trying to figure out why there is an M and N, they both state 8”. In my post #2 the diagram looks like a face on view based on the brick they are showing yet they have a circle shown that I’m ASSUMING is the flue? The door detail looks to me like it a Birds Eye view. Confusing for sure. I’m sure someone smarter than me will be able to help.

If possible, exceed requirements by a couple of inches. It's better protection and helps defer concerns.

I have an 8x48” tile leftover. I will use my diamond grinder wheel and smooth/ radius the corners and just glue it down to the lvp. I could just cut the lvp back and expose the bare concrete floor then ram nail some aluminum transition down.

What would you do?
 
I'd probably cut it back 10" and surround the 8x48 tile with a nice contrasting 2" border.
