Hello Everyone.
Been while since i've been on the site. Happy to see its growing and growing.

Ive had my Avalon Arbor since 2006. Great stove overall. I know there are lots of quirky things about it. My biggest concerns is that the fire bricks are getting quite brittle. A few of them are kept together with mortar which has been working out. I think I might be screwed when the brick (seen below) cracks. There are so many air channels throughout this brick that any mortar will disrupt the airflow. This brick is essential! Rocky Mountain Stove and Fireplace in CO use to carry it however they have listed it as "no longer available." Ive scoured the internet and have made a few calls but coming up short.

Any ideas? Thank you to all who respond!

That is the combustion brick. It's no longer made and the Avalon line has been discontinued. It might be the same as used in the Lopi Leyden. Try Lopi dealers to see if they have one left over.
