We purchased 4 metric tons of La Crete pellets this season. Hadn’t used La Crete in a few years but they were always top notch and hot burning. This year they are burning hot and clean as well. The only issue I seem to have is a lot of dust when pouring or filling. Dust is to be expected but I don’t remember this being quite as noticeable. No saw dust in the bags or anything like that, just a bit heavy on the dust in the air. I’ll see how the next pallet fares. Happy New Year’s to all.

The dust can be a symptom of how the pellets are handled. But if you purchased full pallets and kept the pallets intact that seems unlikely.

The quality of pellets can change year to year and even batch to batch.
