Mike from ESW recently posted an article from a trade mag which seemed to contain some errors - among them saying that 26 ga Blue pipe was OK with wood stoves.

Enclosed is the page from NFPA which seems to dispute that - just for the record.

This chart shows that 26 ga would only be good for stove pipe of 5" or smaller, which is not used in any stoves I know of. So 24 ga and 22 ga should always be used for wood and coal stoves.

Thanks for the heads up. I was just looking at stove pipe the other day at Lowes but decided to wait until HD got theirs in.
