At the end of each winter, I prep my stove. I take out all the ashes, check the glass seals, and get it ready for the next lighting.

Sunday, 03 October 2010 is one of the earliest firings in 5 years. House is a comfortable 72F. Oak (stacked two years) and Cherry (from a big branch that nearly took out my garage). Stirling Engine fan is doing it's thing.

I think it will be a very comfortable night.

What a great start to the coming cold. Bring it on.
