I swear, winter just won't leave.

Cold and windy again today and frost warnings tonight.

Woke up to the furnace running this morning. We leave it set on 55 degrees as a backup to the pellet stove.

So I just fired up the pellet stove again. Sure glad I am a procrastinator and didn't do the final cleaning and maintenance on it yet.

Gonna do the same thing here tonight lows for next 3 are in 30's with frost. Didn't clean mine either , but man it needs it 50+ bags since last clean 1st week in March:)

Had mine on this morning for the wifey. I keep saying "this is the last bag," but its supposed to be low 30's for the next 2 nights.

Look on the bright side, beer stays cold while grilling :)

As long as the house is warm and the Beer is cold my A$$ is covered;)

Hello

We stopped using the pellet stove in the main house. The split entry living space upstairs is warmer especially with the end gables blocked with insulated doors for the winter.

I do use the pellet stove in the shed/workshop to take the chill out early in the mornings and at night still. Also when working in the garage I put that pellet stove on especially when painting to make a nice warm place for the paint to dry and also when it is raining outside it makes a nice warm dry area inside. I do not use many pellets to heat these areas, the Santa Fe's are real stingy on the pellets especially connected to a T-Stat.

Calling for frost warnings here tonight.....may have to fire the stove a little while before bed.

Fired up the Bix this afternoon. Frost tonight; very strong winds all day, house was 55 deg. Had a few snowflakes midday...

Yeah, not quite done with burning just yet. Windy and cooling off quick right now.

We haven't burned pellets in a week and a half, I'm glad I was lazy and didn't spring clean yet. Just fired up the stove, 37 deg tonight 49 tomorrow 33 tomorrow night,

I'm 40 miles south of the Mason-Dixon line ..86 degrees two days ago upper 30's next couple of nights gonna fire it up for a couple of hours to warm it up for the wife lol. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Me too... I have opened about 200 pools so far, and I will sit by my pellet stove for a few days after work this week...

Fckn New England man!

Been 2 weeks since my last fire.

I left the stat set at 70, (falls to 67* it will kick on). Well, last night before bed, the stove fired. Then fired several times throughout the day today and is on now.

I love my t-stat :) I'm really gonna love my new stove.

Nice car.

Right now it is 47.7 Deg F outside and 69.8 Deg F inside our livingroom with no heat. Weather.com is a little high according to my digital thermometer. It is not 52 outside! ! !

What is your outside temp?
About 39 Deg F or really lower? So with no heat your room fell to 67 Deg F?

Right now we still loose alot of heat and get blasted with cold air from our vintage 1962 wood panel garage door! It's R value is = 0.31 In the process of getting some relief!

I haven't lit the pellet stove for a month! Highs in the 80s, lows in the fifties. I'm glad I live in the Pacific NW!

33 out right now. 25 is our low for the night. Almost took the stove out to the shed for a tear down and deep clean. Wife wanted it out last week when it was 75 degrees out. 3 bags of pellets later she changed her tune. I have a half full hopper and one bag left. After that we're gonna have to snuggle.

I turned up the Nat. Gas furnace this morning, upper 30's here. The furnace is 96% efficient and gas is cheap here...It needs exercise to:)
