I'm looking to purchase the Harman Accentra 52i next week. My lintle is just about 24". Maybe 24 1/8" on the left and 24 1/4" on the right side.

The install manual says it needs to be 24". Is this a nominal/rough opening or is it an exact dimension? If the insert is exactly 24" high I think I need to drop to the smaller hopper that's 22".

Thanks, Jim

Another thought. My hearth is granite and not extremely smooth. Does the 52i ride right on the hearth for maintenance or is their some gap?

I had to go with the 45 pound hopper on mine due to hearth clearance. I have a 21 inch opening with fire brick. I would allow for some wiggle room to be able to pull it out for service. My .02

Yeah, it takes some moving about to pull the insert on the service rails freely when going at it alone. Two people not a problem. Good luck, I hope you can get the bigger hopper.
