Hello all, just got my stove in and beginning to prep. Im hoping to install an outlet inside chimney to hide extension cord that comes with blower. Should this outlet be wired with bx armored cable? Piped? Going to try and mount outlet flush as to not expose the wire, then use fireplace silicone. Will blower extension cord be ok being routed through fireplace?

Also, my firebox is about 1" lower then my hearth. Realizing my stove has no adjustable legs to raise it. Seems like a pan to have to pack out the existing area an 1" with metal or whatever. Any good options?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you guys provide.

Use a couple layers of 1/2" cement board like Durock to raise the firebox floor height.
