If they have deer ticks, they have Lyme. All ticks carry some form of disease or another. I just can't understand their place on the food chain!
Just started the dog on Doxy and Rimidyl for lyme. We use frontline+ for 12 months and vaccinate him for lyme each year. Vet says some still get it.

Uh, AP, you are not alone.
Last one I found one just crawling on my forearm, and I STILL think every little itch has GOT to be a tick. !!
Been walking around the yard the last couple days in shorts (easier than lifting my pants leg) checking for ticks every few minutes and have not seen any.
Do they not like this 90+ weather?

Didn't know a dog tick could produce neurotoxin. BRRRRAnd I thought deer and wood ticks were bad.
One bout with Lyme disease was enough to knock me on my keister. By the way, my GP says I will always test positive for Lyme, sooo...how do you know you've got it again?
Playin with the super macro... sort of approaching the limit for the light in my kitchen...
