I am new to the pellet stove world and I seen some American wood pellets at a local store for 240.00 a ton wich beats the other guys here in Ohio but I don't want to buy them if they are a "cheap" pellet. Any information would be great thanks>
If you're referring to American Wood Fibers premium hardwood from MD, I've had no problem w/ them. Burned two tons last season; burned 4 bags this week in a Bixby. Have 3 tons in the shed.
I've never seen them in my area but I would search for comments in this forum before buying. Plug the name in the Search Forums box and see what you can get. Here's one thread.
The local TSC near me has been selling AWF since the spring. From what I can find out, their a decent (not great) pellet. Next time I'm over there, will buy a couple of bags to test burn.
last year I purchased 1 ton to try them out. I liked them so much that i went to TSC this year and bought 3 more tons. Buy a couple of bags for yourself and give them a try.
