Bought a rough baby bear for $100 last December for my new pole building. Just getting around to cleaning it up and installing so I can start using it. After a couple hours of wire wheel, flap disc and paint it starting to look half way descent.

How large of a pole building are you expecting to heat with a Baby Bear?

I assume that was a much less common brown bear originally?

24x32.....768 sq ft
I assumed it is a baby bear looking at pics online, did not know there was a brown bear model.

Tapped what was left on door, drilled and tapped the knob, and it works.
I put bolt from inside door, opposite of factory, so that I can occasionally spin the knob off and lube with high temp copper anti-sieze.

Thanks, yesterday took 3 try's but found a proper 1/2" bolt and nut.
Was only able to find zinc coated that didn't have a shoulder. one guy told me I could torch the zinc off, I seen on youtube that soaking in white vinegar for 2 days remove the zinc coating. It worked great.

Finally got the chimney and stove all done this week. Had the first fire in the stove outside to burn off some of the new paint smells., Next day had the first inside fire.
