Here goes. I am installing P43 in existing fireplace with 4 inch insulated pipe. 35 ft run up. Can't put a holes in the house. How do I install Outside air? Can I still put OAK in the chimney even though everything's insulated? And if so, how far up?

Ok,so it is going in a fire place.Look at pictures in post# 6--http://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/harman-52i-install-let-me-get-this-right.125196/---you will see 2 pipes into the chimney,one is the oak,the shorter shaded one,ending a bit above the chimney block off plate and insulation.Or you can run the oak tubing all the way up.Also,as your not installing an insert,you should have a section of regular stove pipe up to the flex pipe--for the exhaust.This type install will work as long as your insulated flex is not a tight fit into chimney flue,need air gap.
Thanks! However, that looks like a 13x13. Mine is 7 or 8 inched round. Any options anyone could suggest?
I have a similar setup and installed a direct vent pipe. It is now the second season with it and we love it so far. It bundles the exhaust and the OAK into one pipe. It is a thicker pipe naturally as the OAK flows down around the 4 inch exhaust (and also heats up the cold air), then it connects to the stove via an adaptor. We love it, no extra holes in the house. It is more $$. See if this works for you.

They only sell to dealers. But if you want to go DT, there are other manufacturers as well (Selkirk, etc.).

oh, and I can add that we remain glad that we did the OAK and have had no difficulty w/ our set up
