I have a generous off by a fellow member to meet me half-way to Oxford, MA with 120 all nighter presses logs, 8 lb. Sometimes known as North Idaho Energy Logs. I want to split the 120 logs 3,4,5 ways. I only about 20 or to test with.

I'm kind of curious what NIELS are, cant say Ive heard of them before

They're 8lb pressed logs. Supposed to give really long burns/btus. Look up north Idaho energy logs on the web.

I am interested. What is the price per log?

Well, we have 120 logs at $175 or so. So my computer-like mind says about 1.45/log.

that's the plan. i would pick them up in Milford and stop some place en route to south shore for splitting up.

Ok, I have to ask where in Milford you are getting these... I happen to live in Milford you see :)

I'm done burning compressed sawdust though. Believe it or not I have found real wood to give me better heat and burntimes, but perhaps I'm just not burning them right or not using the right logs. In any case if you are driving all the way here for these things they must be special.

okay 30 for Free BTUs, 30 for me, 30 for Carverman, 30 for kingston73. that's it. if they pan out as something you folks want more of, maybe we could order 2-3 pallets, they do deliver, but only in pallets.

Let me know where and when and I'll drive up there and meet you with the cash. You said it's about $1.48, so around $45 for 30?

if i like really these, i'll probably order a pallet or 2 myself and have it delivered. would be willing to share the load to cut the delivery fee.

I'm eager to hear more folks report back on these. It is possible I have written off compressed logs too soon :)

So i called a dealer in Idaho near there factory, the price for a pallet (240 logs) is $199. My brother in law is a truck driver and will bring them back for me for free on his way back from a delivery, its amazing how much shipping affects the price in the north east. If anybody gets them before i would love to know how they work, if i get them first i will post a review!
