Anyone know if I can use a whitfield low limit snap disk in a lopi foxfire?

Lopi Foxfire 1992 started going out after about 15 minutes. Jumped the snap disk and sure enough started burning past 15 mins again. My question: can I rob the snap disk off a whitfield pellet stove and use it on the 1992 Lopi if it fits? No sense buying one and waiting for it if I have one in the basement already :)

You can probably use it, but it may not be rated the same as the OEM.
The difference in rating may cause damage to your unit.
That being said, using it as a temporary fix, until
you get the correct item in there, MIGHT not be too bad.

If you look on the switches, there is the info concerning set points and reset points. If they are the same, you're good. If they vary by more than a few degrees, you may have problems.
