Here in NE Pennsylvania just about everyone is out of pellets. When they come they are gone the same day. Even Lowes and HD are empty. One stove store has a 15 bag limit when he gets them in. How is it in your area.
Lowes in Epping, NH shares an entrance road with Wal-Mart. We went to Wal-Mart yesterday and Lowes had put a sign out in the traffic circle announcing "Wood pellets for sale today". Should have gone by today to see if it was still up.

I got a ton of Hamers a week ago Friday. This was at Cozy Barn in Wind Gap. He had gotten a truck load at 10. I got mine about noon and based on how quickly they were moving he was probably out by 2 or 3.

Agreed, gets your pellets for the whole winter season and don't rely on the big box stores to supply them for you; are you may be out of luck. The last thing you need is some supplier rationing them off and charging you more for it. I get my three or four tons early.

Here in Central Maine, I picked up a dozen bags of Blazers today from HD ... they were flying out the door at $4.18/bag. Now, what does an Oregon pellet selling in Maine say about supply/demand? I guess I need to change my signature.

I agree. But not everyone is able to. Sometimes people have no choice but to buy a little at a time. That's another advantage to pellets over oil. You don't always have to spend a large amount of money to have a delivery truck come and fill your tank. People have the option to buy it in small amounts as they need it.
