lowes. uninsulated. with locking cover. $15

I got mine from an Agway last year...not ocking but pretty good in multiple sizes...

I got an old fashioned galv. steel trash can at Tractor Supply, but any harware store should have one. I leave that outside, and use an old metal bucket to transport from the stove to outside.

Thanks, nearest Lowes is 100 mi. away, have never seen an agway or tractor supply. I'll keep looking. roben.

Thanks senorfrog, maybe my description is wrong, what I'm looking for is a pail with lid that I can set on the hearth. It only needs to be a gallon or two. Once it's full I'll carry it outside and dump it. roben.

All sorts of them online here. Order one and they will get it to you on the next pack mule supply train from Eugene to Vita.

We use a 10 gal, galv. can purchased at our local TrueValue hardware store for about $15.. If you want to have it indoors, it could be painted black.

Trashcansunlimited!!! .com!!! That's a riot! I wonder how they arrive after being bounced around in the mail!
While I have a little hearth can, since I'm giving this a try: (broken link removed) , I figure to go with a bit larger one outside or in the garage.
