i recently purchased a used Ashley wood stove and when I got it home there was glass on the outside of the door but when I opened the door to the stove to clean it up there was a metal plate on the inside hiding the glass .. I can’t see the fire which is why I wanted the glass doors .. can anyone think of why a person would install a piece of metal to hide the glass on the inside of the door ?
