Hi All,
Is this the right meter for me?
I want a digital display to monitor three specific points of a Cat woodstove (yet to be determined).
The monitoring would be stove top, 6 inch double wall flue/stove pipe and Cat.
I'm fairly savvy to the tech world, but the Auber is something I've never seen or used. Though I have seen it talked about some in the forum @begreen for one.
(Short Edit) I do have several remote temp monitors for my smokers, so familiar with that concept.
My questions are:
Does the SKX-400 require an electrical connection?
I would need two probes based upon the stove/pipe manufacturers, but I've never seen the rear of this unit so I am a bit confused by how the probes are connected to the unit.
To measure stove top temps I see the magnetic probe and that the wire is shielded sufficiently. Is anyone using one of these to measure their stovetop?
Is the digital display dimmable?
The alarm is a buzzer? Is it also visual? ie blinking light or something? Can the buzzer volume be set or turned off if you only want visual?
It seems like Auber is a good company and their products are quality?
Based on what I've asked what would probes would I need for this unit? Once I get the unit and probes I'm fairly confident I can set up the unit and all, but the instructions on the Auber site are a little cryptic to me.
Thanks in advance!
