[Hearth.com] Barefoot pellets Just wondering if anyone else is getting long pellets this year ?

I have 7 bags of Hamers left before I tap into my Barefoots, but will update when I do.

You and me both, I got 6 tons in stock.

Well I burned some last year and some were longer..

Burnt about 6 bags so far and they burn hot but a lot of ash also. I didn't find too many long ones.

Have noticed longer pieces this season. Hasn't affected my stove so haven't really been concerned yet. But I am getting more ash this year with them.

Mine are actually on the smaller side. Fuel trimmed all the way. They are my favorite so far. Clean n hot.

Last year I had some large pieces. If I saw it I broke it up. Did have the drop chute clog once on my MVAE burning barefoots. Burning them again this year and nothing to report.

My barefoot pellets are not any longer from what I've noticed although the auger crunches one now and then. What I have noticed is a darker colored ash that's heavier and does not readily fall off the burn pot

Mine are huge!

I have burned through 35 bags form last year and broke into this seasons stash. Last years were definitely longer and darker (bags dated 2-13)

This years batch is dated 11-13 and 4-14. Small and light, almost white. (was wondering if from ash trees because of Emerald Ash Borer infestation).

Hot and clean-2 weeks on Big E and haven't opened the door, will clean mine and my parents stove Friday.

Where is the batch date on the barefoot pellets?

Yea it helps when you're not looking at a bag that you cut the top off of.
