Hi everyone, I have a fairly large stone fireplace. I was looking to buy a pellet insert for additional heat.
A friend/neighbor offered me his pellet stove for free. It’s only a few years old, in great condition. It’s a Quadrafire Castile pellet stove.
I am wondering if it would be possible to install that in my fireplace. The hearth extends about 18” beyond the opening of the fireplace. I’m wondering if I could have the stove installed there, and have it halfway in the fireplace, and halfway not the hearth that extends from the opening.
I was quoted $7,500 for a Harman (I think it’s an 45i….can’t recall off the top of my head) insert.
I can supply actual measurements, but wondering if this is possible.
Thanks, everyone!! 😊
