Best mid sized inserts with a 6 inch pipe

I am relining my chimney (thanks to my fire insurance) with a new stainless 6 inch pipe/flex - I am used to having a large 3+ cu foot firebox in a old insert. Any recommendations on mid sized non-catalytic inserts (do catalytic's wear out?, my car never has but...) that are available, priced less than $2500. I thought the Lopi's looked pretty good, but what else is available in the Colorado market? It's already in the 30's in the AM at my house at 7400 feet, so this needs to go in soon...
