Will be installing Jotul Castine.
Into existing fireplace, exterior masonry chimney, with existing full liner, uninsulated.
Liner length is 30 to 35 feet
Due to limited depth of hearth, stove will be partially recessed into fireplace.
If most of the stove is to outside of the fireplace: the existing liner termination, and top exit of Castine, will be 4 inches apart, measured from back of casting top exit to front of liner.
Looking at two solutions,
1. Use rear exit, and T-pipe with clean out.
2. Use top exit, and two 45 degree pipe connectors
Not sure if any of this is possible, as I am not sure of the dimensions of the available connector pipes.
If both are possible, not sure which is the better method.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
See diagram.
