Seen a stack of wood behind a house with no chimney today so had to stop and ask if the owner would consider selling.

Owner told me that he had no use for it and would just give it to me since it had been there two years and probably to dry to burn!

Some of it actually was getting punky from moisture trapped in the stacks but in all I got Close to a cord of Red Oak and Maple.
 
Nice score! Make sure you hose it down before use to make sure it isn't too dry;lol
 
I'd be giving that owner a case of his favorite beer.
 
I would soak it real good in water before burning it. I hate that real dry wood.
