Edit: Well, never mind. They seem to require registration. I will send them a request to let me reprint the article here.

The jist of it is a guy that has a chimney too tall with too much roof pitch to clean. The sweeps even refused to come back a second time. A woodpecker got in the piple and did a great job of cleaning the pipe. Every year since another one has gotten in and for years he has not had to clean the pipe.
