When the Blaze King manual says minimum hearth pad 42 1/8" x 35", does this mean the distance from the wall behind the stove to the end of the hearth pad in front of the stove? The diagram on the manual pg. 6 seems like it shows the hearth pad doesn't run the full length behind the stove to the wall. Also, when it shows D - 16.375" clearance flue center to wall - I am assuming that is requiring double wall flue pipe, effectively putting the clearance of the pipe to wall at about 12" (is the stove pipe 8" OD?).

I'm just trying to figure out how far overall the stove will stick out from the wall and then the extra 16" for the hearth pad front.

It means that even if the stove is in the middle of the room, this is the minimum size for the stove's hearth pad. There is no harm making the pad larger. Most people take it all the way to the wall. The Ashford take 6" double-wall connector pipe.
