I've looked everywhere, and I can't find it. I know I've read it somewhere though...

At room temperature with the stove completely cold, what should the thermostat dial setting be when the flapper is fully closed..

Thanks,

Doug

The princess is 2-2:30pm position. Another data point is after running as hot as I can get the stove for a an hour or so is when closing the thermostat I can get the flap closed at about the 4pm position.

Good post, I’d like to also hear from others on there’s to verify mine.

My King cold, the flapper closes right about the 2 o'clock position..
Once the stove is warm, that position is right about the 3 - 3.15 o'clock position..

I was thinking everyone had dials with numbers on them. I was wrong. This is what mine looks like. I'll have to ask in the classic forum to see if anyone knows.

That’s an oldie! Mine has similar numbers. The close point with a cold stove will depend on how cold. The only real adjustment is how you set the knob on the shaft. On current stoves you rotate your knob/shaft fully clockwise until it stops turning against the internal stop. Then be sure that the pointer in the knob is pointing straight to the ground. Tighten the set screw. That’s it.

My princess is off to, if this is truly the way it’s supposed to be calibrated. I believe you just haven’t seen it myself. The knob is about 10 degrees clockwise past the end of the swoosh temp limit when it hits the stop.
