Its been awhile since i have last posted so first off let me say hello :). Cold is back and my Stove has been sitting in my garage for a couple of months now. My first floor is still a work in progress as I try to save money and do the work myself. I got a buddy of mine whos gonna help with the install as the beast was one heavy sumbitch! I haethe stove placed 12 inches of the wall and my double wall black pipe is going to be 10inches of the cieling. The black pipe is going up 36 inches before the first elbow, I got (2) 45 degree elbows instead of a 90 as per blaze king recommends. Going out threw the wall which is block and up the side of the house. I have a overhang which is 24 inches so unfortanelty i have to cut threw it as i do no want to add another elbow. Im going to rent a core drill to cut myself a perfect cirlce for the block.

Anyways called my insurance up gonna follow all the code make sure its all legit, now just waiting for pipe to come in.

Sorry if the pictures are tunred 90 not sure why on my ipad they are straight.

Im i doing anythin wrong or have i missed something?

To get the pics to upload correctly on forums when you take them on an iPad or iPhone you Need to hold the phone or pad horizontal with the home button to your right looking at the unit.

Ok so i got all my pipe and started doong the install today. Im starting to think that one of my telescoping pipe is incorrect hear are some pictures, help me out please. Im asuming the top telescoping pipe goes over the pipe coming off of the stove. But it doesnt want to go over at all it only want to go inside of it which seems wrong because it look like gas can escape. Anyone habe a picture of a telecoping pipe put together?

Never seen a telescoping pipe taken apart. HTH did that happen?

Renting a core bit for block seems like an unnecessary expense to me, you can neatly do this with a chisel and hammer then mortar the pipe in.

Didnt rent a core drill used my hilti jack hammer and a sawza with diamond tipped blades. I thought maybe the core drill would better but for 300 dollars to rent including a 12 inch bit i decided to pass . Hole came out pretty good and round as i could get it. Got some of the class A chimney pipe going up the side of he house, gonna finish the overhang cut and roof cut(plus flashing) tomorrow afternoon after work. I will Take pictures tomorrow too before i finish everything.

The only thing holding me back now is this stupid ass telescoping pipe. I have zero experience with this pipe so does anyome have some links or a video of how it works. The pipe came in one box but cut in half, 2 pieces. Not sure if i was given the wrong pipe or what..

Pipe is from a company called metal fab. Bought it all from a local company near fishkill ny where I live called N&S supply. Awesome deal 1900 bucks for everything(8inch double wall inside and outside plus stainless steel).

So so far im at 2600 for the ultra plus 1900 for the pipe.

The upper pipe should go inside the bottom. I have metal fab and the bottom piece has vent holes does yours?

The upper inner pipe goes inside of the bottom, while the upper outer goes outside of the bottom.

The pipes look damaged. I'd be a little miffed if they shipped it to me like that.

I thought it looked damaged too but wasn't sure if I was the lighting that made it look like that.

My bottom outer is outside of the upper outer.

And IIRC it came assembled in the box.

Pic from many moons ago.

Ooooohhhhhhh. I just saw the Metalfab part. No idea, I'll leave that to you.

Niko, It looks to me that you may have the piece coming off the stove upside down. Does the end on the stove look like the inner and outer walls are crimped together? On my Ultrablack, the slip section has the pipe with two distinct walls (like the pic you posted) goes down, with the inner wall slipping into the two crimped / welded walls of the lower pipe.

This is correct and on my simpson double wall it has a sticker so you know which piece goes on the bottom. Mine shipped assembled.

The pipe is installed correct as it has a arrow pointing up. Got it all installed today just have to finish some minor adjustments tomorrow. Install picture of the inside black pipe. Clearances are all good. Got done pretty late so I will take pictures tomorrow of the outside pipe. I do have a question of metal fab adjustable roof brace kit. Anyone have a picture of a install? The connections of the kit that go around the brace of chimney pipe look crappy and not well designed in my opinion.

Dairyman how long has your telescoping pipe been like that any problems? I have a email from a guy named Mark at metal fab saying the top pipe should go on the outside of the bottom pipe but their is no way in hell it will fit.
