Mrs Woodchip really wanted some blueberries, so we went to a farm today to pick some ourselves. Trehanes initially got a few plants from Canada , found they grew really well, then bought back a thousand plants from the USA back in the 1950's. They are now the best known blueberry farm in the UK. Fortunately for us, they are nearby, so it was an easy trip out.

We ended up with over 22 pounds of blueberries, half are already in the freezer, and we have ten pounds of jam cooling in the larder. Blueberry muffins are a favourite here, as are blueberry pancakes.
This weekend we'll be eating blueberry cheesecake. Must chop extra wood next week to work it off
I think they look really tasty when being made into jam.........
