I have a general question regarding exhaust pipe clearances for an install of a Breckwell Big E. The owner's manual states 3" inch pipe clearance from combustible materials, which coincides with Simpson's Pelletvent pipe literature. But Simpson also offers Pelletvent Pro, which is UL listed for 1" clearance to combustibles.

Could I go with the Pelletvent Pro, and be closer than the Breckwell manual requires?

Thanks-
Tim

What does your Breckwell Dealer tell you. That is the first place to start.

The Breckwell manual is somewhat dated. Dura Vent Pellet Vent Pro only needs a 1" clearance to combustibles.

1.) Keep the clearances of the stove first.
2.) Keep your clearance for the pipe second.

When in doubt call Breckwell's Tech. line after you ask your dealer.
