Does the room fan speed have speed settings? Just the high setting by clicking High Fan? Please explain.

Thanks

Once the stove is up to running temp the fan speed increases and decreases with the heat setting automatically.

I never even touched the fan setting on my breckwell when I had it.

no fan speed change between 4-5.

Ok, thanks

I tried to change it, but it may not have been up to running temperature.

When is it up to running temp? Is it just when the room blower comes on? Do I have to wait a while after that?

I dont remember its been a while.

I had an older p2700 the stove ran great, i think after the convevtion blower came on you could change the heat settings and the fan speed would change with it.

It may have been a while after the blower came on though I dont remember.

I do know for sure the convection fan would change speed with the heat settings and it worked real well, I liked that sysem.

The breckwell digital boards are convection blower adjusted with heat (combustion blower) settings- and has hi fan override switch. You have to let the board get through startup tho to adjust heat and thus convection settings- the light blinks on the on/off switch until it gets through startup. The convection blower can still come on before startup is complete, it'll start at the last selected speed the board was on. I always use heat setting 3, you can hear the convection blower come on after startup.

Not saying this is the case with your stove, but with my Breckwell, when the fan speed did not change after start-up, it was a sign of a problem. Had to change my board.

Looks like the same board I have. The fan runs on low speed for setting 1 only. Anything higher than that, it's running at high speed. I'm assuming it's the way these boards are programed. Right?

The fan speed does change for different number settings.

From the manual for my P2000 insert: "The room air fan speed varies directly with the feed rate. The “HIGH FAN” switch overrides this variable speed function. It will set the room air blower speed to high at any feed rate setting.
When the “HIGH FAN” button is pushed the room air fan will switch to its highest setting. When this button is pushed again the room air fan will return to its original setting based on the Heat Level Advance setting."

So one thing to try would be to see if high fan button does switch your fan to highest setting
