Harman p61 and p68 have more btu but less heating capacity then the Regency, quadra fire 1200 and Mt vernon. Do harman heat less area or is. QF over estimating it's ability I am trying to heat as mush of 3000 sq ft colonel as possible. The less I have to turn on the oil furnace the better. The Harman is also $1500 more to install if I could get one.

I think it depends on how air tight the house is, if you got a modern day house than a pellet stove can heat more area Vs an old farm house. If I were you I would just look at the BTUs than any thing else, also insted of one stove how about 2 smaller units?
